SIGHTS

DSEGH

Dsegh is a village in the Lori Province. It is the birthplace of one of the most celebrated of Armenian poets Hovhannes Tumanyan.

YEGHEGIS

Yeghegis is located in Vayots Dzor province. In medieval it was one of the richest cities in Armenia and seat of the Orbelian (Proshian) family in the 13th-14h centuries. In the village you can see two monuments.

ZORATS KARER

Zorats Karer is a prehistoric megalithic period observatory. The archaeological site located near Sisian town in the Syunik Province of Armenia.

ZVARTNOTS

Zvartnots, a complex of structures erected in the middle of the 7th century near Echmiadzin, is of extreme architectural value. The complex consisted of St. George temple or Zvartnots.

ECHMIADZIN

Echmiadzin is the center of the Armenian Church. It is where the Catholicos of All Armenians lives, and the location of the Echmiadzin Cathedral.

MOTHER CATHEDRAL OF HOLY ECHMIADZIN

According to tradition, the cathedral was built between 301 and 303 near the royal palace in the Armenian capital city of Vagarshapat on the location of a pagan temple.

EREBUNI

Erebuni museum, which is concerned with the history of the establishment of Yerevan, was founded on May 24, 1968. The finds discovered from the three famous archaeological sites of Arin Berd, Karmir Blur and Shengavit.

TALIN CATHEDRAL

Talin is one of the oldest settlements of Aragatzotn district. Catoghike church is the most important of Talin’s historical-architectural monuments.

LASTIVER

Lastiver is situated in Tavush region. Tavush region, which is in the North-East of Armenia, is covered with forests and green zones.

LORI BERD

Lori Berd is located just east of Stepanavan. It is the site of the medieval fortress “Lori Berd” located on a peninsula along the deep gorge cut by the Dzoraget and Tashir rivers.
