SIGHTS

GAYANE

St. Gayane church located within walking distance from the Echmiadzin Cathedral of 301. It is a 7th-century church, the religious center of Armenia. St. Gayane was built by Catholicos Ezra I in the year 630.

GANDZASAR

Artsakh is rich in historical and architectural monuments, ancient monuments and monasteries, and one of them is Gandzasar.

GARNI

After adoption of Christianity the pagan temples were demolished and instead of them build churches, but Garni pagan temple remained standing.

GNDEVANK

Gndevank is an X century monastery located on the way to Jermuk on the bank of the Arpa river, in Vayots Dzor provinc.

GOSHAVANK

Goshavank is a 12th- or 13th-century Armenian monastery located in the village of Gosh in the Tavush province. Goshavank monastery complex was formerly called Getik (Nor Getik).

GORIS

Goris is a city in Southern Armenia. The city was possibly the first build in a grid layout in Armenia, with a very quaint regional style of stone architecture.

LAKE GOSH

Lake Gosh located not far from Gosh village, in Tavush region. The length of the lake is 100 m, width – 80 m.

DADIVANK

Dadivank is an Armenian monastery located on the left bank of the river Tartar of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

DENDROPARK

The park was founded in 1931 by Polish engineer-forester Edmund Leonowicz. The arboretum is 35 ha in total of which 17.5 ha consist of natural forest and 15 ha of ornamental trees.

DILIJAN

Dilijan town located in the Tavush Province of Armenia. Usually called Armenian Switzerland, it is one of the most important resorts of Armenia, situated within the Dilijan National Park.
